Privacy Policy
NeztMate (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides property management software for tenants, landowners, managers, and artisans. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using NeztMate (mobile apps, website, or related services), you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account data — name, email, phone, role, profile photo, and authentication details.
- Property & lease data — properties, units, applications, leases, maintenance requests, messages, and related documents you upload.
- Payment data — transaction references, amounts, and status. Card details are processed by our payment partner (e.g. Paystack); we do not store full card numbers.
- Device & usage data — app version, platform, device identifiers, FCM tokens for notifications, and approximate logs needed to secure and improve the service.
- Partner context — if you use a white-label partner experience, your data is associated with
that partner’s workspace (
partnerId).
2. How we use information
- Provide core features: listings, applications, leases, payments, maintenance, messaging, and notifications.
- Verify accounts, prevent fraud, and enforce security.
- Process payments and payouts through licensed payment providers.
- Send service messages (e.g. lease reminders, payment confirmations). Marketing messages only where allowed and with a clear opt-out where required.
- Improve product quality, fix bugs, and generate aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
3. Sharing
We share data only as needed to operate NeztMate:
- Other users in your workflow — e.g. a landowner sees tenant application details you submit; a manager assigned to a property sees relevant operational data.
- Service providers — hosting, databases, authentication, payments, analytics, and notification delivery under contractual obligations.
- Partners — if you use a partner-branded instance, that partner’s operators may access data within their workspace according to their role.
- Legal — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting requirements. You may request deletion of your account; some records may be retained where we are legally required to do so.
5. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and protect your devices.
6. Your choices
- Update profile information in the app.
- Control notification permissions on your device.
- Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@neztmate.com.
7. Children
NeztMate is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
8. International processing
Data may be processed on servers in Nigeria or other regions where our providers operate. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred accordingly.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
