Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of NeztMate’s mobile applications, websites, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use NeztMate.
1. The Service
NeztMate is a software platform that helps tenants, landowners, managers, and artisans manage property-related workflows such as listings, applications, leases, payments, maintenance, and messaging. NeztMate is a technology provider — not a party to lease agreements between users, unless explicitly stated in a separate written agreement.
2. Accounts & eligibility
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for safeguarding your credentials.
- You must be legally able to enter binding contracts in your jurisdiction.
- Roles (tenant, landowner, manager, artisan, admin) determine what actions you may take.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings, applications, or identity information.
- Harass, abuse, or exploit other users.
- Attempt to access data or systems you are not authorised to use.
- Reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service except as allowed by law.
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes, including money laundering or fraud.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Listings, leases & payments
- Landowners and authorised managers control inventory, pricing, and approval decisions.
- Lease terms are between the relevant parties. Digital records in NeztMate support those relationships but do not replace legal advice.
- Payments may be processed by third-party providers (e.g. Paystack). Their terms apply to card processing.
- Fees (including optional application fees or subscription plans) will be disclosed in the app or partner configuration before you pay.
5. Subscriptions
Paid plans renew according to the billing cycle you select until cancelled. Cancellation typically takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless stated otherwise. Partner-specific plans may apply when you use a white-label workspace.
6. Partners (white-label)
Some experiences are operated under a partner brand on NeztMate infrastructure. Partner operators may manage branding and operational settings for their workspace. Your use of a partner-branded experience remains subject to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, plus any additional terms the partner provides.
7. Intellectual property
NeztMate and its logos, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the Service as intended. You retain rights to content you upload, and grant us a licence to host and process that content to operate the Service.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, that listings are accurate, or that any tenancy outcome will occur. You use the Service at your own risk to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NeztMate and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim or NGN 50,000.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NeztMate from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including liability limits and indemnity) will survive termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles. Courts in Nigeria shall have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
